Fable Blades Swords on Facebook

Even Kings Die

Even Kings Die. With all their triumph and power, no matter how big their empire and their architecture may become, even Kings die. They cannot find permenance in form any more than the soldier who dies to protect them. But the sword in the king's hand lives on, long long after they have passed. They must leave this world the way they came into it, without their sword. The sword is left behind to be found by a boy, once more to carve his way into history, burning brightly while he may, but to soon be snuffed out like a candle. Maybe in a day, maybe in 50 years, but soon, sompared to the life of his sword.

The ricasso is engraved with Ancient Greek lettering: EVEN KINGS DIE : I SHALL LIVE ON
